Welcome to our Web site!

Hey!  How are you?

We are the Dillavou's of Pendleton, Oregon. Jerold (Jerry)  was born in Iowa and grew up in the Ralston-Scranton area.  His Dad's name was Max (who was a mechanic) and his mother was Bessie. Jerold's brothers are Mike, Rex, and Jack, and he has one sister, Shirley.  He worked for Weyerhauser in Bly, Sabah Malaysia, North Bend, WA, and Raymond, WA, before retiring. His wife is Darlene (Hadley), their son is Gary (they lived in Bly, OR thru his growing years), his much better half is Linda (from Pendleton OR), and they both work for the Umatilla National Forest.  Their children are Shane (16) and Katie and Nicole (11).  Yes. twins!  We all live somewhat happily in Pendleton, Oregon.

Jerry's Uncle, John Dillavou who lived in Bly, OR, wrote up a history of his family many years ago and mailed the information off to someone in Iowa and we never got a copy of it.   If you know of who may have received this information, please contact us.  See the address in the left column of this page.  We've had a lot of requests for names and dates and I would like to add that information here.

Are all the Dillavou's in America related?  Yes.  I believe we are.  Research has shown that only one Dillavou arrived from France.  He died not too long after (kicked by a horse?), but he had a son who survived.  Seems to me there are a lot of Dillavou's in the U.S. who can say "We're all related".  Read our Guest Book where they have left messages.  I understand there use to be some huge Dillavou reunions in Iowa.  Wouldn't that be great if we could all get together sometime?  Who wants to organize it?

We put this site together so that we could share what we've been doing with friends and family.

Thank you for visiting our site.

See ya!
